Uber air reckon they'll have transportation drones ready as soon as 2023! At the National Business Aviation Association conference in Vegas, Eric Allison announced how Uber Air is a viable, scalable solution for air travel. He relates the need for us to grow in 3 dimensions as part of the drive to conquer the air. This will be achieved by creating lower cost, lower noise, electric, lower polluting alternatives to helicopters and planes. They've put this out to tender and seemingly have 5 different partners competing for their lucrative contract - Embraer, Bell, Aurora, Pipistrel and Karem. Each of the 'nodes' or skyports can handle peak traffic of 1,000 landings per hour.
